School Loop will be frozen and 3rd Quarter Grades will go home on Friday the 27th

Greetings Sea Dragons and Sea Dragon Parents

As with every quarter, School Loop will look incorrect and rather confusing, as we get set for the 4th quarter.

Effective immediately, School Loop will be frozen/locked until Friday, March 27th to accommodate the shifts in student schedules. This freeze/lock out is typical. This will occur at every quarter change and will be an absolute inconvenience. However, it is unavoidable. Grades can still be entered and uploaded though.

So here is what we need to know...


1.   3rd quarter grades will go home (report cards) on Friday the 27th of March; currently school loop will be inaccurate.

2.    New fourth quarter elective schedules will be available for viewing through the HAC on Sunday the 22nd at 1:00 pm.

3.    New fourth quarter schedules will be available to all that need them in the Gym on Monday morning

       starting at 8:00 am.

4. School Loop will be up and running beginning Monday March 30th 2015

7th Grade Field Trip Reminder

Who:              All 7th Grade Students

Where:    University of California Santa Cruz

When:      Friday, March 20th at 8:30 AM

Be On Time – The Bus Will NOT Wait.  If you are late, you will remain at school for the entire day.

Lunch:      School lunches will be provided.  You should also bring a bottle of water.  You can also bring snacks if needed.


Must do’s:

l Report to your first period of the day.

l Dress for both warm and cool weather, layers.

l  Wear comfortable shoes, you will be walking.

l  Bring a small bag to carry your lunch and a folder.  You do not need your backpack.

l Bring any necessary medications such as an epi-pen or allergy medications. 

The AJHS 6th/7th grade registration process will begin with the 6th grade Parent night scheduled for April 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the AJHS gym

 Online Registration will open in June and will culminate with the AJHS ORIENTATION (for incoming 6th/7th grade and returning 8th grade students) scheduled for August 7th and 8th 2015 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm  


All documents and information will be offered to our families online beginning April 16th and will remain online through the first day of the fall quarter, August 13th 2015. More information to come...

The Aptos Junior High School Home and School Club are asking for the support of our community!! We are asking that if possible, you donate directly to our Home and School Club by simply pressing the “General Donation” PayPal button located on the AJHS Homepage (simply go to the Aptos Junior High School Website and click on the donate button located to the right of this message!)

Your donated funds would then be used to….

  • First, ensure a positive balance and cash flow
  • Reinstate the original amount of funds available for all teachers at AJHS to $100.00/ yr.
  • Provide resources and funding to programs like Technology, After School Sports, Student Events (Dances, and end of the year fun) and the Public Art Club,
  • Provide opportunities for mini grants and/or funding of special projects and or special training and in-service
